Project Overview
Dorier Group approached Pixels2Pixels Studio to create an exclusive Mixed Reality (MR) experience for a high-profile event in Munich, gathering procurement directors from some of the world’s largest hotel chains.
The objective was to transport participants into a seamless, immersive journey through luxury hotel environments, reinforcing the branding of both MCI and Dorier while showcasing the future of travel experiences through XR technology.
The concept revolved around a 4-meter-long XR corridor, guiding participants from the real world into a fully immersive virtual environment. Inside, they experienced various luxurious hotel destinations before transitioning back into a mixed reality space designed as a celebratory setting.
Our Approach
MR Branding & Seamless Transition
Upon entering the venue, guests were greeted by MCI and Dorier branding displayed in mixed reality, floating naturally within the environment.
This subtle MR enhancement ensured the branding was integrated rather than intrusive, setting the tone for the transition ahead.
Immersive Virtual Hotel Journey
Inside the 4-meter XR corridor, guests stepped into a fully immersive virtual world simulating premium travel experiences:
A beachfront hotel complex with a sunlit tropical atmosphere
A Parisian hotel suite with elegant interiors and cityscape views
A luxury resort pool in the Swiss Alps, evoking the tranquility of a mountain retreat
The environment evolved dynamically as guests progressed, creating a smooth, cinematic narrative of travel.
Returning to Reality Through MR
As guests approached the corridor’s exit, the virtual world gradually transitioned into mixed reality, blending physical and digital elements.
Upon exiting, they were welcomed by real hosts offering glasses of champagne, creating a harmonious fusion of digital storytelling and real-world hospitality.
Technical Execution – Unreal Engine & Spatial Computing
The project was developed in Unreal Engine, delivering high-quality rendering and realistic environmental detail. Advanced spatial computing techniques were used for precise tracking and seamless transitions between real and virtual worlds. The experience was optimized for smooth, natural user movement through the corridor without interruptions or technical distractions.
